There's a little bit of a catch, though.
By Robert Marrujo:: Good news and bad news time. The good news is that Microsoft is in the middle of testing how to get good old USB webcams up and running on Xbox One for streaming. The bad news is that the functionality is being targeted at Microsoft apps Skype and Mixer.
So far, the ability to try out the new feature is being limited to Alpha Ring insider members, though if testing goes well it's assumed that it will eventually extend to all Xbox One owners. Ultimately this is a boon to streamers who don't want to spend the cash on a Kinect simply to get their face up during a broadcast. With so many different USB camera options on the market, this could help up-and-coming streamers get their feet wet.
