The iconic garb has long been rumored but this might be the closest thing to a confirmation yet.
By Robert Marrujo:: It's been reported for awhile now that Justice League would be debuting Superman's black costume on the silver screen, but there's been no confirmation offered from either Warner Bros. or DC as of yet. That hasn't stopped the rumor mill from churning, though, and this latest tidbit from SuperHeroStuff has only served to pour another tank of gasoline onto the proverbial fire. For sale on that website is a pair of black and silver Superman caps that are supposedly inspired by the Man of Tomorrow's look (at least in part) in Justice League.
We'll let the website's description of one of the items speak for itself:
"In 1993, Superman died. Later that year, Superman returned.
Our Superman Black Armor Justice League 39Thirty Fitted Hat is based on Superman's costume post-death:
A black variation of the Superman suit adorned during his time in the regeneration matrix, a Kryptonian chamber that reversed the previously lethal effects of his protracted punch-em-up with Doomsday.
In the film Justice League, it seems Superman's cinematic resurrection will parallel the hit comic story, considering he returns in a stylish black costume soon after a very tense fight with Doomsday."
The gallery above has both of the hats alleged to be inspired by Justice League. You can also click on this link and this link to check out the product listings yourself. The caps certainly look legit and it would clearly be pretty bold to make a claim like this if it isn't true, but it seems we'll have to keep waiting until the movie finally comes out to know for sure.
