A Metroidvania from Atlus!
By Robert Marrujo:: Remember last week when Atlus released a trailer for Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey that everyone thought was a fake 2D platformer? The trailer even exclaims it right at the end; see it here for yourself:
Well, Atlus has just declared "jk' and revealed that the footage was in actuality real. The publisher then took things to the next level and dropped the game for free via its blog. Make way, world, for Shin Megami Tensei: Synchronicity Prologue! Mind, this is all coming from Atlus's Japanese branch, so you'll likely have to hit translate when you land on the page. The game itself is also not in English. However, it's a fairly straightforward romp that isn't totally dependent on being able to speak Japanese and considering it's free, there's not much risk in giving it a try. This writer has been enjoying it immensely thus far!
