Resident Evil 2 Board Game on Kickstarter

Fund your fears!

By Robert Marrujo:: Resident Evil 2 holds a special place in the hearts of series fans, so much so that Capcom is diligently working away at a remake of the game for modern consoles. There's another team hard at work on a reimagining of RE2, except their vision involves cardboard and plastic rather than polygons and BluRay discs. Resident Evil 2 board game is currently being pitched by Steamforged Games on Kickstarter.

Steamforged Games has previously wowed fans with a board game adaptation of Dark Souls and is now looking to dip its toes into the waters of Capcom's survival horror franchise. The game has already been fully funded (it only took an hour!), easily surpassing its goal of $202,900. Now, the studio is working on securing funds to achieve its various stretch goals for the project.

Here's the game's synopsis straight from Kickstarter:

"Resident Evil™ 2: The Board Game is a co-operative survival horror game for 1-4 players set in the Resident Evil™ universe.
