By Robert Marrujo:: As much as Nintendo is known for the likes of Super Mario and The Legend of Zelda, it's also garnered a strong reputation as a legitimate home to some of the best indie games over the past ten years. Titles like Cave Story, Gunman Clive, Xeodrifter, and many more have been popping up on everything from DSiWare to the Switch eShop for a long time, and thankfully it looks like that trend will continue to be the case for the foreseeable future. Nintendo announced via its Twitter page that it will be broadcasting its Nindies Showcase Summer 2017 presentation this Wednesday, August 30 at 10 AM PST.
On a related note, PAX West is kicking off its festivities on September 1 through 4, with a special Nindies@Night event this coming Thursday, so the broadcast will likely be focused on titles that attendees will be able to play on the show floor. The post specifically points out that the presentation will be highlighting software for Switch, the company's new handheld/home hybrid console. We'll be sure to give you a full rundown of the announcements on 08.30, as well as the shenanigans at PAX West as they unfold.
