Remember, it's hitting Nintendo Switch first.
By Robert Marrujo:: Stardew Valley, the surprise indie hit by Eric Barone, the one-man development team of Concerned Ape, is slated to get a new multiplayer mode. It's been a little while since the addition was announced, but now the curtain has been pulled aside for fans to finally get a glimpse of what's to come. Here's the Tweet straight from Concerned Ape:
Testing multiplayer... it's coming along great! @tccoxon is doing fantastic work. I'm really excited, this is already really fun and it's only going to get better before release. Check out my log cabin pic.twitter.com/f4YlHL3fCx

The new mode is set to allow players to co-habitate and harvest on the same farm together. There will also be a chat feature built into the experience. Barone has turned to fellow developer Tom Coxon to take the lead on coding the multiplayer expansion and, as his Tweet attests, things are moving along swimmingly. The multiplayer mode for Stardew Valley doesn't have a release date, but it will be coming to Nintendo Switch before any other platforms.
