Lego Dimensions is Dead

The toys-to-life series has ended a year earlier than anticipated.

By Robert Marrujo:: Warner Bros. and TT Games have confirmed via Twitter that Lego Dimensions has officially run its course. Rumors had been swirling for days prior to the announcement alleging that the game would no longer be receiving any new characters or level packs. Here's a look at the Tweet in question:

Lego Dimensions launched in 2015 across numerous platforms. While initially it was a success, the most recent slate of content and figurines released failed to live up to the financial expectations of WB and TT. The game was expected to have a three-year shelf life, but as this announcement makes plain, the time for Lego Dimensions is over.

Note that customer service and the Lego Dimensions servers will continue to be supported.
