Rumors had been swirling for days prior to the announcement alleging that the game would no longer be receiving any new characters or level packs. Here's a look at the Tweet in question:
Lego Dimensions launched in 2015 across numerous platforms. While initially it was a success, the most recent slate of content and figurines released failed to live up to the financial expectations of WB and TT. The game was expected to have a three-year shelf life, but as this announcement makes plain, the time for Lego Dimensions is over.
Note that customer service and the Lego Dimensions servers will continue to be supported.
