By Robert Marrujo:: Resident Evil fans can rejoice, as Capcom has made a couple of extra juicy announcements regarding its beloved survival horror franchise. The arrival of Resident Evil 7 Gold Edition and the previously delayed Not A Hero DLC expansion for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on December 12 will make it a true red-letter day for series devotees. That's quite a bit of RE7 info, so let's break it down.
Resident Evil 7 Gold Edition is much like previous "Gold Editions" of Resident Evil installments, as it comes boasting the main game along with all previously released DLC packs. In the case of RE7 that means Banned Footage Vol.1, Banned Footage Vol.2, and the upcoming DLC End of Zoe. That last pack, by the way, tells the story of Baker daughter Zoe following the events of the game, sending players into swampy waters filled with new enemies to tackle.
Not A Hero, meanwhile, promises the return of series mainstay Chris Redfield. Working with Neo Umbrella, the decidedly not evil iteration over everyone's favorite bio-terrorism conglomerate, Redfield and company are seeking to get to the root of the latest outbreak on the Baker plantation. The DLC pack is free to those who purchase either the Gold or non-Gold versions of RE7.
