Batman Ninja Anime Reputedly Debuting at New York Comic Con

The Dark Ninja!

By Robert Marrujo:: Well, this is interesting. According to MovieWeb, a new anime titled Batman Ninja is not just in the works, it's set to officially be revealed during New York Comic Con. The film will be crafted by Warner Bros. Japan; here's an alleged synopsis of the reveal event reputed to take place on October 5:

“Warner Bros. Japan and Warner Bros. Home Entertainment team for an eye-popping addition to the Batman animated legacy with Batman Ninja, a spectacular, all-new anime film coming in 2018. Be among the first to witness the premiere of colorful footage from this imaginative take on Batman and many of his connected characters. Panelists will include director Jumpei Mizusaki, character designer Takashi Okazaki, screenwriter Kazuki Nakashima, English-language screenwriters Leo Chu & Eric Garcia and some potential special guests.”

For you anime buffs out there, the name of character designer Takashi Okazaki should be familiar, as he worked on Afro Samurai. There's a solid pedigree of talent on hand here beyond Warner Bros.' own quality history of DC animated films, so hopes are high that this reveal is indeed legit and that Batman Ninja delivers the goods.
